Nohomo but there’s this one Japanese guy I goon to, and by goon I mean the proper sense of the term as in stroke your penis and get as close to orgasm but not quite for as long as possible. Basically what he does is he goes out in public at night walking around the streets of Japan dressed as a woman recording himself without any pants on. My guess would be it has something to do with the American occupation of Japan after WWII. If you look into where the whole stereotype about white men fetishizing Asian women comes from, during the Cold War when there were a lot of US troops stationed in places like Korea, Vietnam, and Japan, and these US troops were much wealthier than the local populations (despite the fact that they weren’t wealthy by American standards), and only men were drafted, and not women, there was a lot of prostitution going on. That combined with the fact the US wanted to model Japan to be an example of the success of capitalism and to be a strong capitalist ally… which is why the US government pumped billions of dollars into Japan to prove that government doesn’t work. That combined with the fact that they’d just lost the war, Hirohito surrendered, Japanese emperor worship from what I understand was something that was made up out of thin air by Meiji in the 1800s and isn’t actually like a deep part of their culture like their propaganda said it was. So you have a perversion of religion too, the emperor wasn’t traditionally considered to be a god, until one emperor decided he was, then the god emperor lost a war, probably made people’s trust and belief in religion decline. A decline in religions and moral values combined with an increase in capitalist slop and American soldiers whoring out the local women, and the fact that the Japanese were allied with Hitler so they think that makes them special somehow so they never wake up to the fact that they’re not really independent and aren’t in an equal relationship with America all culminated in the whole fucked up sex industry / sexless culture duality they have today. Basically: 90% blame America, 10% blame Hitler. IMO.

I guess Meiji wanted Japan to catch up and industrialize to restore the power of Japan relative to the west. So he adopted a lot of western ideas, making his own edits as he saw fit. I guess he was just like, "Huh, England has the biggest empire and they’re very industrial and have a monotheistic religion and they have a monarchy. I’m a king so I like the monarchy idea, we can do some industry here in Japan. But the Jesus thing? I don’t really know about that, but they are monotheistic, what if there’s some advantage to that culturally and if Japan copies the west we will be more successful? But you know what, I don’t want to submit to the west and erase my own culture. I’ll tell you what, here’s my idea: what if maybe I’m Jesus now?"

I could be wrong, but whenever I’ve head Chinese people talk about the west, they "get it" if you get what I’m saying. Like, there’s this concept of "west bad" that some stuff happened in history and justifiably or unjustifiably maybe you don’t listen to what westerners think 100% of the time. I don’t think the Japanese have that, I think they just go with it. If America feels like Japan is a brothel, I don’t think they’re doing any deep psychoanalysis on how maybe that’s racist on some level. And I think that’s because of World War Two, they were the bad guys in World War Two, and they were allied with a white supremacist, and then they lost the war to a less white supremacist nation, and I think that prevents a straightforward narrative from materializing. Because Koreans, to Koreans the shits simple: Japan invaded Korea, Japan bad, the end. For the Chinese it’s simple: the west did some colonial crap with opium getting Chinese people hooked on drugs, took Hong Kong, Japan raped and murdered a bunch of people: west bad, Japan bad, the end. Like it’s simple. If you’re Japanese, wtf do you think exactly? "America bad, America nuked us, white people are racist… but wait we were allied with Hitler so wtf he’s the most racist guy ever, am I the good guy or the bad guy?" And then no progress is made. That’s my theory, which could be 200% wrong. But I’m just saying it just to say it.

And you know, other Asians complain the Japanese don’t like to talk about it. That means, they probably don’t like to think about it either, and if they don’t like to think about it, they’re probably not thinking about it, and that really explains a lot of all the weird crap they do if you really think about it.
