From the San Pedro cactus? When you cook it down it turns into mescaline. The amount of mescaline varies so you either trip or you feel like you smoked really good weed. The flavor is fucking awful though. Like warm piss, banana peels, and vomit. Anyone else ever drank it and if so what do you do about the flavor? I chase it with a little water and try not to taste it. I have a cold so flavors are muted but I am sure this nasty stuff will come through strong.

Yeah I've yet to get any good trips. I saw patterns in pictures, faces, but never any open eye visuals. I planted a couple today. It's a beautiful cactus.

It did upset my stomach a bit, but it wasn't that bad. From what I've read, the older cactus the better, and the more strained conditions (lack of water etc), the more potent. There are several extraction methods for getting out the mesc and having pure product, I may fiddle with again someday, but I can't grow cacti around here reasonably, so I just stick to other stuffs.

Yeah, I plan on stressing the fuck out of these cacti I planted. I am not a fan of the extractions with the chemicals. I'm not a chemist. There is one that renders tar mescaline with everclear. I'm going to do that once these cacti I planted get bigger.
