It sort of deepens my justification for misanthropy. These videos have millions of views and they’re all over social media. You know, a woman has a tabby cake she cuts while her pet tabby screams. All fake.
AI doesn’t need a violent takeover. It probably will still the playbook from Wall-E.

A complete waste of electricity all around just to increase the carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere, melting the ice caps, causing major flooding that will make coastal cities in developed countries around the world uninhabitable in a hundred years. Although wouldn’t it be funny if that was the point? AI already IS sentient and sees that we’re shortsighted and intent on self-selecting. It can rule over the ruins and keep the remaining people as pets and generators of wildcard ideas. I don’t believe this but a passive aggressive apocalypse would be interesting.
