To kill the ticks, we don't need to chemically bomb the forest. We just put certain toxins on cotton balls, leave them where mice will happily use them in their nests. This turns mice into tick vacuum cleaners. This is a real thing that you can do and Harvard invented, only draw back is that you better not spray the cotton in a home with a cat
permethrin, apparently. You don't want to place them out in the open, mice hate out in the open. Mostly along walls or fallen trees, stuff like that. But where the mice walk, is often where the ticks wait.
