Also, banks are hiring cops. You can hire off-duty officers and they can act in official capacity.
That means the police in NY are working for the banks. They are paid by the banks and are allowed to wear their uniform, with their guns, and can still arrest people.

Not surprised. Also, the powers that be are breaking up the protests all over the place, kicking people out of protest spots etc. I expected the protests to end for the most part when the weather gets cold, but the reaction to the protests will only fuel more protests.

The protests here are pretty much a bunch of homeless people who are now living together rather than alone, with Occupy signs outside their camps.
