I love how we’ve gotten to the point where talking about Jews makes you a Nazi. Are you alt right? You’re a Nazi who hates Jews. Are you a black, brown, or Asian person who hates the alt right? Well you’re racist because you support the poor brown Palestinians who are getting bombed by the right white Jews supported by rich white western countries. If everybody is a Nazi, nobody’s a Nazi.

It's funny because you can't actually know where that is coming from, not these days

It’s kinda funny actually. I’m a college student, I haven’t heard literally one person say they support Israel, nobody ever says they support Palestine, but they don’t say anything positive about Israel, because under Biden so many students got arrested for protesting, people just don’t say anything anymore. Lol

> under Biden so many students got arrested for protesting, people just don’t say anything anymore.

This is a complete lie.

People got arrested for trespassing and vandalism. The 1st amendment protects speech, it doesn't allow you to occupy private property and damage buildings.

Don’t get me wrong, I always walked on the opposite side of the street, I’d never protest anything these days.

@previous (C)
Great, what you said about people being arrested for protesting is still a lie.

If someone commits a crime while sharing their opinion, and then is arrested for that crime, they haven't had their right to free speech infringed upon.

With facial recognition and image search and all the ways people can harass you through the internet, it’s just not worth it honestly.

I never said they had their freedom of speech infringed upon I just said they were arrested for protesting. Stop putting words in my mouth. That’s not the same thing.

They weren't arrested for protesting, protesting is legal, they were arrested for trespassing and vandalism which are crimes.

Anonymous C replied with this 2 weeks ago, 48 seconds later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #1,435,274

It’s not even that I think people shouldn’t be arrested for protesting, I have no issue with that whatsoever. It’s just I don’t want to get caught up in that, because they’re not going to try and figure out who should be arrested and who shouldn’t be arrested. There’s no point in protesting, it’s just an unnecessary risk in general and I’m not an idiot.

No one is suggesting you should protest.

You said people "just don't say anything anymore" because protesters were arrested.

That implies you could be arrested if you "say anything" but the arrests had nothing to do with what they said.

And I never said you said this.

Are you this bad at reading comprehension?

> I don’t get why you’re trying to argue over semantics.

It's not semantics because we aren't arguing over the definitions of words.

You said people stopped saying things because protesters were arrested, which implies a link between the arrests and students being silent.

No one was arrested for speaking out.

History is filled with these so called criminals that merely tried to stop the actual crimes being done collectively, such as by a government.

> So you’re arguing with me over something I never said then.

Here's the exact quote:

> under Biden so many students got arrested for protesting, people just don’t say anything anymore.

Why would you say students stopped saying anything because of arrests?

You're clearly implying they are being quiet for fear of arrests, and there's no other way to explain that statement.

You will argue about this endlessly even though anyone can read the text you wrote.

This is more embarassing than just admitting you were wrong.

No one was arrested for speach, so there is no reason anyone would have to fear that.

Students decided to stop speaking out because other students were arrested for trespassing, even though no one was arrested for speaking out?

Why would they change their behavior if that specific behavior wasn't being punished?

Anonymous D quadruple-posted this 2 weeks ago, 5 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #1,435,298

Students can speak out, and not break the law, and know they are safe from arrest.

How would they know? Because no one has been arrested for speaking out while following the law. All the arrests were for criminal acts that were done simultaneously.

Pretending students have been pushed into silence by the government is just a lie.

No one was arrested for speaking out, they were arrested for trespassing and vandalism.

If you haven't seen a single person arrested for speaking out lawfully, why would you be afraid of being arrested for that?

It's a simple, straightforward question. Yet you can't answer it.
