Enshittification is the norm across industries. It’s like everyone is following the airline model - don’t add or do anything special. Just unbundle your prior product and sell it in pricing tiers with an additional tollbooth to cover costs beyond what’s needed to recoup inputs.

I'm hoping we run out of VC money at some point and the market shits its pants so we can all move on. I'm not looking forward to working until I'm 75 so the billionaires can have it all... That’s the part I’m wondering about. OpenAI isn’t profitable, Anthropic isn’t profitable, they don’t make profit, they just keep asking investors for money so they can burn more money buying more GPUs. So who has all this money that’s getting invested in these AI companies? Surely, however big the amount is, it’s gotta be finite, and if they never turn a profit, surely that finite amount has to run out. I’m waiting to see what happens with the OpenAI IPO, if they IPO.
