I'm trying to understand my own autistic urges, but also the general human behaviour. I am here, on a forum that is frequented by a single-digit amount of poasters, most of which are mentally challenged and impossible to have a conversation with. Whatever I leave here is left to rot and has no influence on the world outside of this forum. It has but a fleeting influence on the forum itself. Why am I here? What are we doing? What am I doing?

I fucking hate reddit, I fucking hate instagram, I fucking hate tiktok (although i do not have so much exposure to it as to the other two). 4chan also sucks since a couple of years, it's all bots and fappers. You are correct in that most of the internet is dead now, the void left by the old fora will never be filled. Still, poasting here brings me no joy.

No. it sucks for you because its filled with the same archetype(apathetic and cynical) you'll see on here. you're just coping + emotional. X/youtube/facebook have bots. Fappers are the norm and some are actually cool.

For the same reasons listed above: Because you want someone to give a fuck here but nobody does. so unless you were cool with the mods back in 2000-whatever the fuck this site was made. you're gonna have a miserable experience.

I have quit BBS-style boards for a few years at a time. I like the randomness. You have everything from stalkers to silliness to real conversations to being trolled into clicking on disgusting porn. Any showing of empathy and sensitivity gets you called a fag, a throwback to middle school. Reddit means agreeing with the prescribed opinions or having your post randomized as gibberish.

I remember when I was 14 I went to 4chan because I saw a YouTube video about hackers on 4chan, and when I went there, I didn’t see any hacking. I just saw white supremacist furries who like Japanese cartoons with "100 year old women."
Anyway, I never went back, never bothered posting anything, that was just way too cringe. I mean, this site is terrible, way better than 4chan. 4chan is like that weird kid with freckles and dandruff who ate his boogers and sat in the back of the class… in high school.
