South Korean beefs are usually filial, organized, and they will seek their retaliation all at once fiercly.
The beefs I've been around in SE Asia (Vietnam and Thailand personally) are less intense but linger lasting. It's gossip, or your friends are not allowed on a corner or in a store. Most of these don't get violent, but you'll hear more about the conflicts that do have action.
