Americans voluntarily choose to work at a job for a wage and then turn around and scream that they are helpless and exploited victims because there is only one company in the world and you can't quit, start a business, or learn a new skill.

The system doesn't allow people to do this on a meaningful way.
Sometimes you need a licence required by law. Sometimes corporations only hire certain demographics, because the law requires them to.
Laws reinforce degree requirements, turning away intelligent people who don't pay the fees for a mediocre education and elevating the indoctorinated idiots. They do this by using degrees as a "meritocratic" guide even though degrees are sold by mills and free degrees are granted to members of demographic groups being promoted. Laws ban private business from using IQ as a hiring metric, citing racism, but refusing to explain how simple pattern recognition tests are biased against any race.
The government takes money and redistributes it to those who are unproductive.
There are ways around much of this, but those require knowing how the system works and taking risks to fight against the system.
Anyone trapped in a rigged and unjust game have every right to complain, this is not a free market at all.

the free market, as invisioned by those that have the most power because of their wealth, leads to monopoly, which aids tyranny as control of an entire industry is simplified when the entire industry is already under the control of a single entity
