I don’t want this to come off as racist or anything. I have no problem with Scandinavian and Nordic countries, they’re good countries and they have nice cultures and everything and they should be proud of their heritage, no problem with that at all. But whenever I go on the internet and I see something about Vikings and in the comments a bunch of weasels are like, "I’m English and I’m proud of being white!" It’s like, just shut up, just shut the fuck up. If you’re English, you’re not a Viking. Vikings raped and murdered your ancestors, just shut the fuck up.

Vikings as appropriated by white supremacists are ridiculous. Vikings were raiders. They had no issue selling captive European women to the Moors.
Viking nerds are more innocuous. The symbolism and runes are interesting. The myths aren’t as varied as Greek myths or West African stuff like Anasi, but still fun.
