The thing about the wooden bat is you’ve gotta line the grain up right and for the past 20 years kids haven’t had the attention to detail and focus required to remember which side of the bat splits it in half, so they just make everybody use aluminum.

I saw one kid get hit in the face with a baseball one time. It was disturbing how much blood came out his face.

There is also more give with metal. That's why investing in places like the Dominican is better. Better motivation, less tech corruption, although that could be over as well.

Tbh hitting you in the forehead it wouldn’t be as bad since that part of your skull is very thick. That’s why you’re not supposed to punch someone in the forehead because you’ll just break your hand. He got hit in the jaw.
