You know, when I was a kid, I used to think it was odd people committed suicide for ideological reasons. I thought kamikaze pilots were weird the first time I heard about it. Then I realized people kill themselves all the time working at office jobs, so, you know…

I used to buy into the idea that maybe some cultures are different and they’re just more radicalized. Then I thought about it a bit, and I’ve encountered some people where I’m pretty sure if somebody asked them to they’d be okay with being kamikaze pilots. It’s just how some people are, nothing you can do about it.
