I have a couple of Chris Chan phone calls that I want to put on my ipod.

doesn't iTunes do this automatically if you use it to move the file onto your ipod?
im pretty sure all you do is add the file to your iTunes library and then select it to be imported..

File >Add file to library
select the mp3s, using Ctrl+click to select multiple, then once added, sync your iPod.
