Topic: The Alberta Prosperity Project, fighting for independence, has held 3 meetings with Trump staffers.

That's three meetings we know about, there could have been more, and they were with senior staff in the Trump administration.
They are also soliciting $500 million in credit for an independent Alberta.
Alberta holds the world’s third-largest proven oil reserves, and Trump has shown he will interfere with foreign governments like Venezuela to gain control of oil resources.
This would be cut the highways connecting the eastern and western coasts of Canada, and be a big hit to their economy, making the rest even easier to annex.

So basically the United States doesn’t feel like paying for NATO but is willing to pay the equivalent of a second US military just to lose a referendum to have a population of 5 million people join the 340 million already living in the United States just to stoke Trump’s ego because it looks big on a map. Got it.

The polling right now shows that Alberta would vote for independence if they had that support, and the line of credit is contingent on secession, they don't get it if they stay in Canada.
Unifying Canada with the US would make the US a lot stronger than paying for European military budgets so they can allocate their own money for healthcare and education at the expense of the US taxpayer.
