The point is it works and it technically can’t be illegal because how can it be illegal if you’re outside the legal jurisdiction of the country where you owe the debt? They can’t do anything…

Not to be "that guy" but China is technically a second world county not a third world country.
I’m just saying, there are places like Thailand, South Africa, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Kenya, etc. where your money will go significantly further than it will in the west. I would say Eastern Europe as well, but I take it you’re probably afraid of war.

Really wealth is relative. People only feel poor when they’re surrounded by people richer than them. If you move some place where people are poorer then you’re magically not poor anymore. It’s crazy how that works.
