Thing is, menopause and perimenopause are 100% absent from the discussion. Older women’s hormones change and vaginal walls thin. If you’ve ever slept with a woman 46+ you often get the unerotic pained expressions on their face. This isn’t hot unless you’re a sexual psychopath. Better to get something in the 30s. 20s if you can and good luck to you. I’m usually in the 32-36 band.
Plus you don’t get the anger, baggage, accountability for their every bad past relationship decision, life issues, and treatment as a butler/therapist.
The exception is if you can find pools of flaky New Age women who look amazing, do yoga and the like, and who do HRT and vaginal rejuvenation. But this isn’t commonly found.

They want a provider, they don't care as much about age.
It will be hard to get a hot 20 something if you are 50 and mid income. But if you go outside the west in your 40s with below average savings in your home country? You will be hounded by young beautiful women.
There are streamers who show this all day. They are old, badly dressed, and holding a selfie stick and when they walk down a busy street there are constantly women trying to talk to them. Not even working girls, I'm talking 18 year old women hanging out with her friends and one will break away from the group to start asking the guy what he likes to do.
Look at how average incomes compare from US to latin america or SE Asia. Ukraine had ⅒ the average income of the US before the war blew up their jobs, and the women there are hot.
