It is funny how Ireland and Canada have different responses to farmers protesting. In Canada, they just ignored it and pretended it wasn’t happening. In Ireland, they sent in the army, because why the fuck not?

Although it is kinda dumb to protest fuel prices by blocking ports, especially when it’s obviously Trump’s fault fuel is more expensive, not the Irish government, and blocking the ports won’t make it less expensive. But still, something about sending the army to stop some guys in tractors is kinda funny. I mean what else is the Irish army going to do? There’s nothing else to do.

Trump has a version of the Midas touch where, instead of gold, everything he touches turns into shit: businesses, casinos, airlines, steaks, countries, economies, cost of living, oil.

> two days of round-the-clock blockades by hauliers and farmers angry over the surging price of motor fuel.

> they blocked access Wednesday to the key ports of Foynes and Whitegate.

> Foynes in County Limerick is a deep-water port at the mouth of Ireland’s biggest river, the Shannon, and of critical importance for many industries. Whitegate in County Cork hosts the only oil refinery in Ireland and imports a third of the country’s supply.

So they protested the price of motor fuel... by cutting off imports and causing the country to run out of diesel and gasoline???

I don't get it 😕

It’s not a big deal. Ireland only has two industries: they make beer and they’re the world’s number one producer of Botox. Fun fact about Botox: it’s one of the most dangerous chemicals. If you look up the amount of Botox you need to kill an adult human, it’s tiny. Now it’s never been used as a chemical weapon, but if for some reason someone were to it would probably be extremely effective.

According to Wikipedia the intravenous lethal dose is 1.3–2.1 ng/kg. And one monogram is 10^-12 kilograms. So basically, if an adult male weighs 90 kilograms, about 90 to 180 trillionths of a kilogram of Botox would be a lethal dose.
