Topic: "The US is a white country"

Anonymous A started this discussion 2 hours ago #133,987

I was thinking about it, when racists say that the US is a white country because it’s a white majority country as a way to deny the accomplishments of black people, that sort of reveals the entire thing. We had a black president and there’s a black guy who’s headed to the moon right now. Why did it seem like what people did everything in the past? Because there were more white people and those white people treated black people unfairly. If you don’t treat them unfairly, black people can lead the country or go to the moon. If white people were actually superior they wouldn’t need to be the majority in order to prevent black people from doing things.

Then the whole thing with immigration and fears of white replacement comes down to the fact that black people are just having more babies than white people. When Africa was colonized, you can look this up, there were actually about twice as many Europeans as Africans. Now it’s the other way around and that happened very recently in history. Africa only surpassed Europe in terms of population in the 90s

nobody's superior.
black and white suffer from the same problem in that one of them enters a delusion that
a group should be treated unfairly due arbitrary reasons like physical appearances or economic background.

yet they're both the same. Low-ranking racist mainly consists of civilians who are uneducated while a few high ranking manage positions of power.
they're the ones that incite the low level racists to maintain narratives because they know the population is too stupid to challenge them on anything.

I think it comes down to insecurity. If someone is secure with themself they don’t need to prove that they’re better than other people. The strange thing is some people seem to remain insecure no matter how much material success they achieve.

this applies to black and white people. black people buy into the fantasy that all whites are racist while white people buy into the delusion that all blacks are the scum of the earth and they should not be considered people.
but neither sides understands or cares that they're duped into believing those things by groups that benefit from having a divided population.

I mean, I guess now billionaire islands have a pretty bad reputation. But ignoring the Epstein thing, hypothetically, if you are a billionaire, you really don’t have to get involved in politics or anything, you can just buy an island somewhere in the ocean and do whatever you want there and nobody’s going to stop you. Even if they really really should stop you.

I don’t think that most black people think that all white people are racist. It’s just that most of the people who are racist against black people are white people, so black people will sometimes say "white people" when they really mean "racist white people."

Although, I think it is true of some black people that after living in the United States their whole life, they basically learn that society as a whole is against them, and then white people will say things like Asians are better than black people through that whole model minority myth thing. So when black people are constantly compared to others, they can start to believe that everyone hates black people, even if that’s not necessarily true.

Being billionaire can help in politics but it comes down to what you're willing to do for the people. if I was a billionaire right now, id built sex bots or fund animation studios or comic publishers to create gooning material for everyone.

I think sometimes this thing can happen where, the US is racist, and the US has dominated in terms of soft power for decades as the wealthiest and most powerful country. So a lot of what people who aren’t American hear about black people comes from white Americans, including negative stereotypes. So then in cultures where there are virtually no black people, obviously there will be ignorant people who will be incredibly racially insensitive. So then people will see that and portray it like that’s how everyone from a certain part of the world sees black people, so then some black people will act like the entire world hates black people.

But for example, in college, there are a lot of international students. I’ve met people from China or Korea or India or Vietnam who are just completely not racist at all. Which doesn’t mean racists from those countries don’t exist, they absolutely do, it’s just we’re all individuals.

yes and its also true that black people are proven to be just as racist. they've deluded to themselves to endless victimization and became tone-deaf towards other minorities that suffer from discrimination.

I think the poor people (unfortunately) are sort of like sheep that follow the lead of the rich. So if the rich start acting a certain way out of insecurity, it’s almost like poor people think that’s cool so they try to emulate it. I feel like it would be better if we kept money out of politics. Some rich people are well adjusted people, but some of them really aren’t.

Well, black people are victimized though. I think black people cant entirely be blamed for that. Part of it is actually backfire from how white people have attempted to control the narrative about America. For example, in school, they never taught me about Asians or Hispanics or native Americans or anything, every racial struggle related topic was always black people: slavery, the civil war, and the civil rights movement. They don’t want to make the US look bad so they won’t talk about what we did to Japanese Americans for instance. So then white people learn about how black people were oppressed and black people don’t learn about how anyone else was oppressed. But it’s not really their fault if you think about it.

yeah I suppose so but the thing about Asians specifically from EA and SEA countries is that they get told these fantastical stories filled with negative stereotypes and instead of them dong their due diligence and learn the truth of the world on their own. most of them maintain that viewpoint

The issue is, it’s sort of strange, but even if for example, there might be a perception that blacks are treated worse than Asians in America, blacks (and I don’t agree with this by the way) are generally seen as more legitimate Americans than Asians or Hispanics are. Asians and Hispanics are sort of perpetual foreigners in our culture, so the education system values teaching about black people over other minorities.

Oh yeah for sure thats very much the case. however unfortunately ive seen lately from blacks and whites discriminating equally towards hispanics. part of i think its because mainly they found a common ground and it takes away the racial target off the black people's back.

I guess that’s true. Although, I’m mostly interacting with relatively young people in their late teens and early 20s so there’s probably some sort of selection bias there.

I dont agree with it myself either and thats the current narrative arc we're at now sadly.

To be honest, I live in a part of the county where there aren’t many Hispanics, but I would agree with that. I’ve seen that for example with Arabs where black people will realize since they’re mostly not Christian white people are more afraid of them, so I’ve seen situations where a black person will throw an Arab under the bus. Which is pretty unfortunate.

Part of the reason why social darwinists / "race realists" created the myth that different races have different levels of intelligence and Asians are smarter than white people is actually because Asians weren’t really perceived as Americans. So the idea was they could use it as a gotcha to be like "oh me? I’m not a white supremacist. If I was why would I say Asians and Jews are smarter than whites? I’m just an honest scientist!" But the issue is, then Asians are seen as a threat. It’s interesting actually, the stereotype that Chinese people can’t invent anything and all they can do is copy actually comes from Adolf Hitler. I was curious about the whole "honorary Aryan" thing so I looked through certain passages of Mein Kampf on the internet and I found Hitler actually originally said that as an excuse to ally with the Japanese. He claimed they weren’t really as smart as white people, but they could copy white people and that’s why they were respectable enough to ally with but not really equal.

But it’s kinda crazy how prevalent that stereotype is and nobody has any idea it was Hitler’s idea.

The point of racism wasn’t white supremacy. White supremacy emerged as a means to exploit cheap labor. At the same time, it gave disenfranchised whites something to hang onto. The elites don’t want class and mutual economic interests to collaborate. Go look up Bacon’s Rebellion and Shay’s Rebellion. The anthropological nonsense cropped up soon after.

I heard originally they tried to enslave native Americans but they kept dying from disease so that’s why they used blacks instead.

The other thing that’s crazy is nazi weirdos on the internet will post in forums cherry picked passages where Hitler sounds like he was praising the Japanese. And then some neo nazis and racists in the west will fetishize Japanese culture because they see it’s a paradoxical exception to nazi ideology since they’re not white. But when I actually read through it, the level of disrespect he had for Japanese culture makes it kind of surprising to me that the Japanese actually allied with him. Like he literally said they didn’t create their own culture and would be barbarians if it wasn’t for the influence of westerners.
