That’s the crazy thing though, I literally saw an ad for joining the US military on a highway billboard and drove a little bit further and saw one for veterans to get a lock on their guns in their glove compartment so they don’t kill themselves in their cars.

I am looking at how quickly the TOP has reversed course - Trump said a week ago no help from other countries was needed. NOW he is asking a mass of countries to open a BLOCKED Passage. Clearly there was NO Planning at all re this waterway. Japan for instance gets all of its oil via this simple small waterway and they have said NO.
I had to look C IF Japan even has a navy.

It’s like a sports team. You’re valued for youth, vigor, and skill, then forgotten once you hit the injury roster or are retired.
I always wonder, if the U.S. got desperate, what some of those 1944 Wehrmacht-like battalions would look like filled with middle aged American men. They’d probably have some kind of Barstool Sports hype crew yelling and carrying on.
