Elon became obsessed with a conspiracy theory. USAID was soft power. It also provided early warning on emerging diseases and gave insights into how numerous countries functioned. In the scheme of federal spending it was a pittance.

Soft power is when you subvert the core sexual morality of various cultural group so that you gain, this practice provides to the United States power in the form of by influencing those groups it and now the US is stronger for it.

I’m not surprised that China didn’t step in. Stingiest assholes imaginable. They like loan shark diplomacy but have no way to collect from the usual suspects among BRI deadbeats (Argentina, Pakistan, etc.).

I was reminded of this when finding this comment: "musk was the fraudster charging the US government twice the cost for Starlink in Ukraine…via USAID…then a RUSSIAN drone was shot down over Ukraine, and when they opened it up, it had Starlink technology in it. So musk was playing both sides of that war. He had to get rid of USAID because he was the culprit on what he said he was trying to get rid of, fraud and abuse."

Its funny how USAID getting gutted resulted in their being significantly less faggotry worldwide tho. Like every single june afterwards returned to pre-biden levels of cringe.

Musk is an African illegal immigrant and welfare queen. The only profitable enterprise of his since PayPal was Tesla, and he had to be added as a founder through court order. Because he’s a fraud who speaks in big dreams to hide his avarice. I much prefer Bezos - a brute but a real businessman.

Cutting USAID was stupid. People point out that USAID doesn’t mean US aid, it means the United States Agency for International Development, and the point was to bolster the perception of America abroad. Obviously it also saved a lot of people’s lives too in the process. But my issue with that is, who cares if the point of US aid wasn’t just to help other countries purely out of the goodness of our hearts? If it increases American soft power, it increases American soft power, that’s good for our country and we should want that. Elon Musk is a terrible look for our country, a trillionaire cutting funding to saving lives in 3rd world countries leading to potentially millions of deaths. In the long run, I don’t want to sound like Stalin saying "one death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic," but at least in Africa, the birth rate is so high this will have essentially no effect whatsoever on the population growth in Africa, so in the long run this won’t prevent Africa from developing even if racists think that it will and that’s why they want this which is evil and they should be ashamed of themselves. Overall, this is just a massive win for the CCP.

Because the thing is, I really hate how the Chinese are smart enough to realize it but Americans and Europeans aren’t. The reason why Africa was colonized is because it was underpopulated for most of history because of diseases that are now preventable, which is why with modern technology their population is increasing so much. But Asia already had a lot of people, so they reached the capacity of what their resources can support earlier so they developed first, while Africa is still in the population growth phase. But when Africa does stop growing it will be similar in population to Asia and if Americans and Europeans have the bigoted attitude that Africans are just stupid and don’t matter, that’s going to be a massive mistake in the future for the west. Immigration doesn’t matter that much in comparison to what’s coming in the next 100 years.
I’m just saying, why would you push Africa towards Russia and China? That’s fucking stupid. Africans already have a long history of being oppressed by westerners, if they’re going to have a way larger population in the future, ideologically, this is like so stupid.

Subverting foreign cultures does not boost the perception of America, it instills the idea that USA is an extistential threat.

Are you referring to cutting USAID or Trump humiliating the president of South Africa in the Oval Office? Obviously they’re not going to be threatened by us preventing the deaths of thousands of children.

And, people call China’s influence in Africa neocolonialism and will have this arrogant attitude that the Africans are just destined to be slaves forever or whatever, but the issue is economic alliances can turn into military alliances. It’s not in our best interest to act like Africa doesn’t matter, the Chinese and the Russians aren’t stupid. It should be a matter of American national security that we should try to be more influential in Africa than China and Russia, but Trump is a fucking idiot.

If you said subverting their culture by transitioning their kids, that would me more straightforward. But anyway, I think between LGBTQ stuff and this:
The LGBTQ stuff wasn’t inspiring South Africa to participate in military exercises with Russia and China. By Trump accusing South Africa of genocide in the Oval Office and attempting to embarrass their president in that way, he gave them a reason to align with Russia and China.
Anonymous N replied with this 52 minutes ago, 6 seconds later, 3 months after the original post[^][v]#1,443,405
And it’s also stupid because the guy in that video is the leader of a minority communist party in South Africa that’s pro Chinese. The current president isn’t a member of that party, that’s his opposition. So Trump, he’s just stupid.

No they’re not disproportionally targeted. The issue is, from a strategic point of view, South Africa is a democracy and it’s something like 80% black. Talking about white South Africans being oppressed won’t change the outcome of elections in South Africa in the favor of white South Africans. White South Africans don’t control the country, the black people completely control the government. They’ve never had a white president since apartheid ended. China will never say anything about white South Africans. They’re not white, they have no dog in that fight. They just see they’re short on allies and they have an opportunity.

And the thing is, South Africa is the most white country in Africa. Every single country in Africa is less white than South Africa. So advocating for white supremacy will only turn African countries away from the west ideologically.

Idk, I just think it would be better if as Africa develops, they form a closer relationship with the west as democracies that are ideologically similar to us. For the future of the world in general, it would be better for humanity.
