Yes I grew up with a mother who had to cook for 16 siblings and mom loved meeting neighbors from all over the world and picked up recipes. For example Chili Rellenos of the Spanish variety stuffed with ground meat loaded with onions - Lots of work but worth it.
Rare I cookd Caribbean but have been to the Islands and damn the nude beaches of Jamaica - Even tried Turtle, just served too tough - Eat that cuisine out.
Today is Taco Tuesday where I meet up with friends and we go to a diff place most Tuesdays and often bring our own salsa - Or we bring them to my place and I grill up Jalapenos IF the places we go to don't have them.
Even a food truck that makes Fish Tacos and offers up a Cup of Seafood broth made from all the left overs and it's to die for and has one Shrimp and that is just to enjoy while they fry up the fish.
