I'm already rolling my eyes at the 'prompt engineer' and 'AI architect' labels that'll be plastered on everyone's resume in the next 5 years. I didn't put 'Google-fu Master' on mine in 2010. Good god humans are worthless.

I feel bad for everybody that actually went to graduate school to study machine learning who gets their resumes grouped in with all the vibe code people by an AI reading their resume just because they use the same buzzwords even though there’s a massive difference in skill.

The corporations hiring people with those skills aren't scheduling interviews because some random dev sent in a resume.
They go to hiring events at the right universities and talk to people 1-on-1, or they work through internship programs that will be supplying students that are passing their classes.

Especially this bit. This is something that seems like common knowledge but it’s not and it has led to so many getting duped for their money and time simply because they went to a school that didnt have the right connections.
atp even service industry jobs is gonna go by the wayside at the rate we’re going. So no more snarky “time to flip burgers” comments because even those aren’t hiring people.

This is true actually. I’m a CS major and one company literally bussed us out to their campus to get us to apply.
