Funny because this is actually a very popular idea in Belgium. I'm pretty sure they know something about their own country.

I am not expert on the country, but I do know some about it. The fact is, splitting the place up wouldn't be that bad, and that's why the idea is being proposed there as well.
A country that can't agree enough to get a working parliament elected? Why would you call that a country? Half the country speaks French, the other half speaks dutch, (yes, yes, some speak German) and they have to make both areas somewhat autonomous. It's already effectively split into 4 areas, so why both trying to unify two obviously unique groups?
