Topic: Pakistan is basically at war with the Taliban.

The same Pakistan that backed Islamic militias since the 1980s, supported the Taliban, and hid bin Laden near their military academy. How does that blowback feel? Pakistan has military superiority to the point that matters in Afghanistan but the Taliban will start suicide bombing their population centers after the winter thaw.

Under Taliban rule in Afghanistan since 2021, education has been heavily restricted, particularly for females. Girls are banned from secondary education, and in December 2022, women were prohibited from attending universities
. Education policy emphasizes Islamic teachings, with some, but not all, provinces allowing girls to continue secondary education.

It’s lower quality than the make believe “Christian” bullshit in the optional Texas course materials.
Islam went from influencing a revival of European learning to a permanent dark ages. In the 1300s, every European leader secretly had a Muslim physician and an astronomer. Muslim doctors washed their hands and instruments. The zero they brought from India allowed for math that wasn’t possible with Roman numerals.
Now, it’s a bunch of smelly cavemen stoning women or bombing subway lines.

Let me guess, the Taliban are gonna win again aren’t they?
I don’t support them, they’re bad people. They’re just a little bit good at fighting. I’m not saying that because I like them, they’re evil. But they fought the Soviets and the American and they’re still there.
Am I the only one who’s not afraid to say the truth here?
Pakistan should save their money and fight India instead, that’s more likely to work out for them.

to be fair, its generally a complete waste of everyones time and money, if not completely pointless, to try and educate women.

The guys who really crushed the Soviets were the warlords who were in the Northern Alliance like Ahmed Shah Massoud, whom the Taliban killed two days before 9/11 using a fake TV crew that self-detonated.
The Taliban melt into the landscape and hide among locals. When the U.S. invaded in force they were shaving their beards and surrendering, only for the U.S. to exit through Iraq.
