Topic: I like Hitler

Even if you hate Hitler aren’t you at least curious about what his ideas were?

If only there were a way to know what his ideas were.

He was flawed, but at least he cared about Germany.

He also wasn’t even German.

He was ethnically German, born in Austria.

Right, so he wasn’t German.

Like I’m ethnically Irish for example, but I was born in America and I’ve never been to Ireland. I speak the same language they do, I’m not Irish. If I went to Ireland to start a nationalist movement, I’d be a grifter. That’s all Hitler was, a grifter.

It’s true though, he was Austrian. Aryan isn’t a real race.

At least if I did a Celtic supremacy thing, Celtic is a real genetic lineage that can be tested for genetically. "Aryan" isn’t even a real thing.

If you actually read the stuff Hitler wrote, it’s all a bunch of nonsense. He wrote that the Japanese couldn’t be credited as the creators of their own civilization because they only learned to be civilized by copying aryans and that without the influence of aryans they’d go back to being savages. Which is completely ridiculous, Japanese society has existed for longer than they’ve had contact with Europeans. He literally just made crap up.

And I actually like Germans, I like Germany. It’s a nice place. But the thing is, Hitler’s whole idea about some ancient Germanic or Nordic Aryan race that created civilization… be honest, pull somebody up from off the street and ask them was an ancient Nordic or ancient German civilization was and if you’re lucky they’ll say "Viking."

Anonymous E quintuple-posted this 2 weeks ago, 3 minutes later, 23 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,419,366

But the Vikings, I mean, they have an interesting and impressive history, but if you look at what they actually built, they built stave churches from wood. They were like native Americans but with iron tools basically. And there’s nothing wrong with that, that’s a perfectly acceptable way to live. But come on, they didn’t invent civilization.

Really, the beginning of German history starts in the late 1800s when they unified and industrialized. There is an impressive history to Germany, but the whole Nazi idea that you need to look back thousands of years to find when Germany was great is nonsense. There’s no such thing as a superior race, it’s lunacy.

I guess, think of it this way: if Hitler is German, the United States of America is 13% Nigerian.
