They’re saying it’s because of Elon Musk’s new humanoid AI that developed sentience.

From Fox News:

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: February 14, 2026
DOW ANNOUNCES BANKRUPTCY FOLLOWING DISRUPTION FROM AGI-ENABLED HUMANOID ROBOTS

Donald Trump, today announced that the DOW has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after its business operations were severely disrupted by the rapid deployment of advanced humanoid robots developed by a leading robotics and artificial intelligence firm.
According to the filing, DOW’s corporate valuation has effectively collapsed to zero, with equity and outstanding securities rendered worthless as the company ceases operations and begins an orderly wind-down process. DOW cited “an unprecedented shift in market dynamics caused by automated humanoid systems that have exhibited emergent general intelligence capabilities” as the primary factor driving catastrophic revenue loss across all business units.

In a statement, the DOW’s board of directors said the market had pursued all feasible operational restructuring alternatives, but determined that continued competition from AI-driven humanoid labor platforms left it unable to sustain a viable business model. The statement confirmed that ongoing negotiations with potential investors and strategic partners failed to materialize, leading the board to initiate bankruptcy proceedings.

DOW executives highlighted that the rise of market-ready humanoid robots — increasingly capable of performing complex cognitive and physical tasks — dramatically accelerated a shift away from human-centered services, eroding demand for the company’s offerings. While the bankruptcy filing did not disclose specific technical benchmarks, the rhetoric points to autonomous systems achieving higher-order artificial intelligence behaviors once considered theoretical, fundamentally altering traditional labor dynamics.

In a related address, creditors and stakeholders were informed that asset liquidation and liability settlements would commence in accordance with U.S. bankruptcy law. The board emphasized its commitment to protecting client data and minimizing disruption to customers during the transition.

This statement reflects developments as of moments ago and may be updated as official filings and further details become available.

As of 5AM: The DOW is negative, and the FED board is meeting with the VP and the Rothschilds and Satoshi Nakamoto.

The first time I saw that website was on a Geohot stream. The man has questionable politics but that was funny.

I don’t remember what the video is, this isn’t it, I don’t agree with his political beliefs. But there’s something enjoyable about watching some guy code while ranting about politics and how he moved to Hong Kong because he’s right wing and supports Elon Musk and is against immigration and China does capitalism better than America so he moved there. Which is dumb, but like, it’s fun.

I ran two authorized two Apple service centers and when some naive buyer jailbroke their phone and came to me begging for help I would waste hours just to get denied a warranty reimbusement.

Geohot puts out software that hurts real people, it made iPhones less secure. The ecosystem is built that way for a reason, but he put fame over livelihoods and security. The criminals loved him.

Rot in hell, nothing about that man is funny.

That's just smart. The Chinese government doesn't intrude on every little part of your business. Don't talk bad about the party and pay your taxes.

Letting in desperate low wage slave labor from africa and india won't solve America's beaurocracy.

So I hate bureaucracy just as much as the next guy, but the reason why the Chinese government is so efficient is because it’s authoritarian and individuals don’t have protection from the state.

I’m also just going to say, a lot of Chinese people aren’t racist. If you look at America, rich people are disproportionately white, but you can find non-whites who are millionaires and billionaires and who are CEOs of tech companies, Microsoft, Nvidia and Google for example have non-white CEOs. If you’re not Han Chinese born in China, you’re never going to be the CEO of a Chinese tech giant, you just won’t.

In Japan, you probably could though. For example, Masayoshi Son is an ethnic Korean. That’s still Asian-looking, but since Japan isn’t authoritarian, if you’re not ethnically Japanese and you start getting successful, the government isn’t going to come stop you. China? Eh… I don’t know about that.

And I mean I guess maybe some sort of white supremacist types who don’t like black and brown people will sort of turn it into an either or fallacy, "either we have to let the blacks be successful or we have to let the Asians be successful" so they’ll pretend Asians are biologically smarter than black and brown people or that they have better culture, both of which are baseless. But the thing is right, nobody in China is wasting their time arguing that white people need to be more successful in China, right.

Now, they let Elon Musk go in there and build his Tesla factory. If I’m not mistaken the CCP gave him an exemption from the law in China that the CCP has to have partial ownership of everything going on over there. And why did they do that? Is it because they like Elon Musk? Nope, they just copied the technology and started dozens of competitor electric car companies an now they’re the number one producer of EVs. It’s like… it is what it is lol

Now America, the reason why we’re successful is because people trust us because in theory everybody is supposed to get the same rights here. And the thing is, China is like 90% Han Chinese. America isn’t 90% white, if we start acting like China, that’s basically national suicide.

Although one thing that’s weird about China is despite the Han chauvinism, they have a lot of international students from Africa that study there, more than the US actually. But the motivation for that isn’t because they’re woke or something, it’s because if you look into birth rates and demographics, the future is very obviously Africa. Chinese people aren’t having kids, European aren’t having kids, the US is sort of okay because we have immigrants but without them we have the same problem as China. Africa is the only part of the world that really doesn’t have that issue, and aging populations like Japan have showed that once your population starts declining due to people dying from old age, you wind up with economic stagnation. So I feel like the western bias against Africa is a little bit dumb, because a hundred years from now, Africa might actually be surprisingly strong compared to other parts of the world, and I think people don’t really get that.
