I actually like his financial advice. He gave a talk about how once your earning more money that you shouldn't buy a BMW 3 series whixh was funny because im earning more money and was going to buy a BMW 3 series. I opted for a 1 series instead.

Sam Hyde is an expert at rejecting every privileged opportunity he had in life. Rich dad with connections? Be friends with crackheads instead. Get accepted to Carnegie Mellon, one of the best engineering universities in the entire world? Major in art and drop out. Get a show on adult swim? Get canceled for calling the executives Jews.

Like the guy has money I assume, but he lives his life in such a way, it’s almost like if you have money and don’t do anything with it then you basically don’t have money, essentially.
> well when you have a huge safety cushion behind you, you can dick around without much fear of starvation
Isn’t that often the cases? It’s easy to be edgy when you have a cushion. I’ve been amused by his show but it’s a bunch of cloths dressed like hobos with exposed wires and their snacks everywhere.

It doesn’t really matter. If you have an opportunity and blow it for the sake of blowing it, you’re an idiot. I don’t care if my money comes from a black dude or an Asian dude or a white dude or a Jewish dude, it’s all green.

It’s not even just one thing. The Carnegie Mellon thing is arguably worse. They have an 11% acceptance rate, they’re ranked as one of the top 10 universities for engineering in the United States, and this dude got in there and was like, "You know what I’m going to do here? I’m gonna do art."

Or like, he’ll tall about how he used to draw Japanese cars and talk about how good he thinks the design of Japanese cars are. Or he’ll say he watches MIT open courseware lectures on quantum mechanics. And it’s just like… motherfucker, you had a rich dad who sent you to Carnegie Mellon, you could have built cars, you could have been a physicist, you had the opportunity to actually do that shit. And instead you chose a career of joking about how white people are better and hanging out with a bunch of homeless crackheads. It’s funny, but it’s like why?

yeah, they give blacks a free 30 iq points and take away 30 iq points from whites. trying to use the same chart for humans and blacks does produce funny results though.

He’s a slacker. He also comes off as mentally off in some way, depression, anger, ADHD, who knows. Some people aren’t driven, even if they’re smart. I know two underemployed geniuses.
One guy works as he needs to. However, his intelligence all goes toward meeting his needs. He helps raise his kids and pays not a dime in child support. His free time is spent playing chess, doing BJJ (cons the gym for freebies), and surfing. Sure, he could get in his 80 hours a week as some elite developer but he’d rather be a beach bum rotating in new 30-32 y/o girlfriends every couple years.
