Make a fist with one hand.
Place it just above your navel, below the ribcage (soft spot).
Grab the fist with your other hand.
Pull inward and upward sharply, like trying to lift yourself from the inside.
Repeat hard and fast until the object comes out or you can breathe.
Think: scoop upward, not strike.
2. Use a solid object (often more effective)
If your hands aren’t working or you’re losing strength:
Lean over the back of a chair, a table edge, countertop, or railing.
Position the edge above the navel, below the ribs.
