Epstein said that he was very advanced because he had a Texas Instruments calculator so he realized that money was all about crunching numbers and data and that’s why the world’s biggest financial institutions trusted him. I do agree that it’s almost impossible to understand the entire global financial system and its interconnections. Anything that complex and attenuated is prone to break in some areas with global consequences - Asian meltdown, housing bubble, Greece. It doesn’t take much for those of moderate means to take a hit. (The wealthiest gained a higher proportion of wealth during Covid.)
