While it’s not “controlled opposition” or some magical cohesive oligarchy, modern leftist elites are enriched by the neoliberal economic system. They want to change some valves and vents but have zero interest in thoughtful reform or restructuring.
Same with modern rightist elites. It’s a money grab. There is no true aesthetic or moral vision, no populist program, it’s fairly low effort propaganda to cover for tech bros and crypto scammers and racist types.
