Yeah and I thought so too, but after Epstein used it in such a classist and nasty way, I can't see it in any other way as a slur. It just doesn't make sense to call others anything different then their actual name. Turns out some Jewish people even agree.
Yeah it's just like the r word, first it's excused as if people who feel demeaned by it are just wrong... Or misunderstanding... But it ain't so.
