Trump is threatening to sue Trevor Noah for making a joke that implied Trump has been to Epstein island. So in order to prove that it’s defamation, Trump would have to prove that he’s never been to Epstein island, and explain why he flew on Epstein’s private jet eight times and how that has nothing to do with the island whatsoever.

MAGA is an amoral movement that burst out of the hollowed corpse of the once moralist GOP. The party of religion, faith, and family, with the “occasional” slip by an evangelical minister caught fucking a male prostitute, toe tapping in a bathroom stall, or raping a teenage church secretary.

I still think Christianity is good, but as a Catholic I do feel embarrassed by Protestant evangelical Christians. The Catholic Church isn’t perfect, but between us and Mormons…

I’m just saying, we could be Christian and accept scientific truth and not have magic underpants.

yes I wonder what happened in America when it comes to Christianity. Though scientific truth in my opinion, can only be accepted to a certain degree.

I think whether somebody’s religious or they’re an atheist, it’s always good to have a healthy level of skepticism and morality. For example, social Darwinism and eugenics were based on a (deeply flawed) scientific understanding. I don’t trust those types of people that want to reject morality because "but you deny the truth the truth is that we must be evil!"

That said, I’m all for science. Just as long as we don’t ever do that again.

Mormons aren't even protestant.

Protestant doesn't mean "anyone other than catholic that believes in Jesus". Orthodox and some other sects would also fall outside the roman catholic-protestant divide.

According to a Pew survey, Mormons scored higher on knowledge of Charles Darwin and evolution than any other group:

Sikhs have holy undegarments called Kachera. Other religions have similar beliefs too.

That’s because the Orthodoxy and Catholicism used to be the same church but they split apart 1,000 years ago, so they both claim to be founded by Jesus Christ, and they’re both technically correct about that.

That’s a little bit of a misrepresentation of data. It says only 8% of Mormons believe that evolution is the result of natural selection. Charles Darwin didn’t discover evolution, he discovered natural selection as the mechanism behind evolution.

Compared to Mormons, 24% of Catholics believe in natural selection as opposed to evolution guided by God.

Morality requires dogma though, as in something is not allowed and no matter what reasoning, it remains not allowed and that's just how it is.

Science tells you what is the case, it doesn’t tell you what decisions you should make.

Most people have an internal moral compass because they have empathy. But some people have a neurological issue where they don’t have that. Those people are dangerous.

And what is the case about claims concerning the behavior of animals, or specifically humans?

It wouldn't be scientific to claim that something which has happened, shouldn't have happened, but it would be a typical moral claim though.
