There's this bunch of DC comics where there's a universe called Ultimate, and apparently everyone who lives there is a total asshole. I watched this overview of Ultimate Brainiac, and it's just, why. It's all so unpleasant. I don't need that. The world already provides enough piles of unpleasantly killed people.

Woke died because it wasn’t profitable. If someone wants representation, draw or create your own thing. Recasting is lame.

I always found scifi more effective this way. It seamlessly integrates diverse characters where race isn’t paramount, from Star Trek to The Expanse. Of course, some of the Star Wars stuff was pretty trite like the failed lesbian space witches show.
