Topic: It didn’t take long for #MeToo to become an extortion racket.

It went from taking down monsters, and a focus on working class black and Latina women being harassed and abused, to upper class white women making it all about themselves.
“My boss was mean to me in 1995.”
“I had a bad date.”
“I slept with a director in 1983 but now realize I had one glass of wine, and that there was a power imbalance. I was 26 and my brain hadn’t fully formed!”
> I'm sorry that women speaking up about being sexually abused has inconvenienced your life.
Nice fallacy. MeToo took down monsters early on then rolled into the shakedown nonsense I mentioned. Every movement becomes a racket, given time and opportunity. The shakedown era diminished its importance in addressing victimization and abuse.
It also lost the narrative, given that hotels, restaurants, and like workplaces are hotbeds of abuse that get neglected.

Remember when I said your worldview of might makes right and how you think the western countries should do whatever they want to Africa countries sounds like the worldview of a rapist?
> I'm sorry that you think that sexual abuse shouldn't be addressed unless you approve of it personally.
If the facts bear out, sure. If it’s silliness like Aziz Ansari’s accuser Abby Nierman had a bad date. Kind of far fetched nonsense compared to the shit Weinstein, Lauer, Cosby and that 70s show Chia-pet pulled (rape, assault, drugging, intimidation).
Also check out the Shitty Media Men suit. Lots of anonymous false accusations and the woman behind it hid evidence from court.
I oppose any Star Chamber / witch hunt on principle. When the facts bear out, put them in prison or, better yet, shoot them.
or they're just both bad. you can still do your "lesser of two evils" bit if that tickles your fancy but there's a third choice and thats they're equally bad.
> I'm sure the rich white rapists appreciate your spirited defense!
Just whites? What about Bill Cosby, Russell Simmons, R. Kelly, Diddy, T.I., Tiny, Antonio “LA” Reid, Jonathan Majors, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Michael Ward?

I never disagreed with being against rapists. You made that part up in your head because your nervous system is pickled.
