Google search feels like it sucks these days. It feels like the English language internet is dominated by the United States (which makes sense given the US has the biggest native English speaking population).
Unfortunately, since google made some deal with Reddit for training their LLM, Reddit is always the top forum in the search results and the vast majority of Reddit users are American. Ironically, even though I hate Reddit, here are the stats from Reddit on how American Reddit is.

I tried searching for stuff in Japanese on Reddit, and I annoyingly found that Reddit’s search feature just auto translates English Reddit threads into Japanese.
I found that Japanese people use twitter, but I hated twitter since before Elon Musk bought it, and you have to sign in every time, and I’d rather just read without making an account.

I have successfully made fake twitter accounts with temporary email addresses at least a dozen times since Elon Musk bought it. Which is really bad considering he spent billions of dollars on it and made a huge deal out of bots and it’s so easy to bot it I wrote a twitter bot one time when I was bored and realized it lets you spam like 300 comments before hitting a flood limit.
…but like I hate twitter, there has to be a solution that’s not twitter!

I did find one active Nigerian forum though. It’s kind of funny, they talk about American politics and they speak English but they’re not American so they don’t care, they just joke about it but they don’t seem like they take sides really. They also talk about Nigerian politics but I have no idea what they’re talking about because I don’t know anything about Nigerian politics.

Elon filled it with bots and allows foreign bots. He also had the software adapted to prioritize his posts. He had whined he wasn’t getting enough attention and one of the top software guys said maybe people had interests in things other than what Musk had to say. The software engineer was fired by the ketamine crybaby.

Ironically a lot of the foreign bots posting MAGA content were from Nigerians pretending to be white Americans and selling Trump related merchandise. Trump was actually somewhat popular in Nigeria before he bombed Nigeria. More recently I found some people on the Nigerian forum calling Trump a pedophile lol.

If I had to guess I’d guess the half of Nigerians that are Christian probably still like him. But before the Muslim thing, almost 80% of Nigerians in Nigeria had a positive opinion of him. Which is ironic because MAGA supporters are racist against black people so they think Japanese people also hate black people, but if you poll Japanese people, they actually had a pretty low approval rating of Donald Trump. The internet is fake, basically.

Which makes sense because whatever racists say about their fake Nazi IQ statistics or whatever, Nigerians have a more similar culture to Americans than the Japanese do in terms of religion. A lot of cultural values in the United States come from a certain type of Protestantism that values and admires wealth as a sign someone is going to heaven. Incidentally, Nigeria also has the exact same thing, but Japan doesn’t. So it makes perfect sense Nigerians like Trump more than the Japanese do. But MAGA supporters are so blinded by racism they think it’s the exact opposite somehow.
