there have been some hit tunes that reportedly had no chorus, though may fudge a bit and still include bridges amongst the verses

I practiced for years and never achieved shit. I was heavy handed and mediocre with piano, trombone, drums, and everything else.

Meanwhile I have a friend who can write the notes as he hears music, composes his own stuff, and plays in classical and jazz groups. Most of his reasonable income is from gigs, which is rare, and he does work for commercials too.
