I am currently doing my first week of school. This is my last semester. I have been having a tough week adjusting back to my situation at Penn State. I am easily one of the ugliest students at the school. The majority of my friends are people I met from church. They never go to bars to drink. My friends that do drink never want to go out during the first week. The first week always feels like a humiliation ritual. I get to watch tons of people go out together, while I am crying in my room. I have always been shy, and I am worried that if I join a club, I will just annoy the people there. It took me over a semester to get comfortable when I went to church club activities. I still try to avoid them sometimes, because I am worried I would bother them. I have been trying to find a date this entire week through online channels or cold approaching women, because I know that finding a girlfriend is going to be much harder once I leave college. I have been very unsuccessful, but my roommate was able to get a hookup on his first night going out this week. He is from another country, and does not seem to like me very much. This morning my phone charger broke and I actually broke down and cried. I thought that God was testing me until I got to class today. When I got to class there was a cute girl there. I was chatting with her a bit. Until she asked if a class was about to start. She was just in the room to study. This confirmed my suspicions that God is actively bullying me. Why is he doing this? D: Even when I was trying to use Hinge today, most of the profiles I came across were girls asking for money, or that I am six feet tall or a D1 athlete. And I swear, like the policemen that swear to God, I did not AI generate this. I am being investigated for AI generating my work, but I swear on my mom's life I did not!

If you’re a man, there’s no biological urgency on finding a partner by a certain point in your life. There are men out there who have kids in their 60s. IMO the more rational thing to do is make sure you don’t get a girl pregnant who you don’t want to get pregnant in the meantime. That’s much worse than being a virgin. That and nobody else actually cares.

Honestly these days, even if you’re a woman, there’s not as much urgency, but only if you can afford to freeze your eggs.

And if you have anxiety about girls being "taken" most relationships end in breakups, half of marriages end in divorce, there’s always going to be a supply of available women unless you’re either elderly or live in China.

(Also: I would advise that if a woman cares about your salary, don’t marry her.) There’s this traditional idea that a man should financially support a woman - don’t fall for it. Get a prenup, make sure if she divorces you she doesn’t get all the money, and make sure, if you have kids, you’re not solely responsible for feeding multiple other people in case you get fired, because if you do you’re going to hate your life.
