Tbf I live in one of those states and yeah there some single mothers who legit open their legs, pop out 2-3 and collect snap/wic and whatever social benefits. I used to hear it a lot. some of the women especially older would advise younger women to find some guy to get pregnant by and try applying for section 8/SNAP. Plus they'll get priorty if they end up in a shelter because shes a woman with kids.
so yeah while I do believe there are women who do need the help. there are also women who legit game the system in their favor. They do their best to hide it amongst themselves because "birds of feather.."

though something to keep in mind. they still require the woman to look for employment. most of the time they should be sending notices that they are reuqired to participate in a "work-readiness" or "career planning" program in order to maintain their benefits.
and from personal observation: its mainly women that use the most of snap. also to apply for snap you generally have to have a ssn or provide proof you've applied.
Therefore only legal citizens by law have a ssn. which i find it strange when the red hats talk about "illegals are taking all the benefits" when thats far from the truth.
