I find it interesting to observe how the competing narratives on Nigeria affect recommendation algorithms. Because I swear, on YouTube, I used to watch content from Nigerians and whenever I’d search "Nigeria" on YouTube, Nigerian YouTubers from Nigeria would come up. Until Trump made up the genocide thing then it was just nothing but violence against Christian. Then most recently, now Nigeria had some soccer game against Algeria so if you search Nigeria only soccer comes up. It’s kinda stupid if you think about it.

Ngl, the algorithms still treat Nigeria much better than India.
