Topic: White people's fascination with furries and high fantasy.

I'm sure most of you are very knowledgeable in this area so please can you school me on this one?

Like whats the lore behind that. Like if its not erotic encounters with an anthropomorphic entity then its some AO3 fiction of elfs or orcs.

It's rare to see black people into that sort of thing(which I also would like to know why is that the case)

I mostly like science fiction. I liked The Hobbit though.

In terms of furries… that’s…

So there are nerds, right? Like there are smart people who are into science and computers and stuff. That’s one thing. Then there are geeks, a geek is essentially a nerd’s nerd. A geek is into high fantasy or obscure science fiction movies.

Then, there’s a weeaboo, a weeaboo is a geek’s geek. A weeaboo is into Asian cartoons, they watch anime and stuff.

Then, there’s a gooner, a gooner is a weeaboo’s weaboo, they’re into hentai.

Then there are bronies, bronies are adult men who like my little pony. Bronies are pedophiles, essentially.

Then there are furries. Furries are like a pedophile’s pedophile.

I just like computers and space. That’s where I’m at. I don’t go any deeper than that.

…I’m actually more white than black but I don’t say it because it’s more fun to troll racists, so that’s where The Hobbit is coming from.

you know I never watched more than a few seconds of that Games of Throne, and when I found out it had dragons in it, I thought, well fuck, that's not historically accurate is it

I don’t even know what that means.

It's been touched on by a few points in this thread, but white people history is Europe. Drop dragons and elf folk in there and it's somewhere between historical fiction and fantasy.

Furry stuff was the culmination of perverts, nerds, and convention culture.

That's quite fascinating tbh.

so then the nerd has a choice to cap at science and technology(computers) or evolve into a geek(high fantasy/Obscure sci-fi movies/shows, etc)
however if the geek evolves(or devolves depending on the individual perhaps?) further then they fall into the: weeb, the gooner, the brony or the furry category

did I get that right?

yeah makes sense but I figured I ask because there's always the case of "there's more to it than that"
when I think about white people history definitely Europe along with D&D, Dragon's dogma, LOTR and skyrim comes to mind.

What gets me a bit lost is the Warhammer franchise. I dont know much about it except something about space marines and some kind of camaraderie between bros and guns.

I think the original Warhammer stuff was more fantasy, but the 40,000 line became more popular and it had the guns and Space Marines. The Age of Sigmar stuff seems to be hitting the fantasy side a bit harder again.

It is the natural urge to put on the skin of dead animals, given the harsh climates of their native biomes. Thanks.
