every time i get animals in there they escape as soon as i leave their chunks or reload the world

there is no way they can get out with jumping

i see how they escaped.
you need to make your fence higher where it meets the stone, animals are crafty and *will* escape if you let them.

im started a new world and look what i just found at the bottom of my first mineshaft.

now i hear slimes, which i haven't seen naturally without using the slime finder in so long.
