The new update made it a worthless piece of shit. Anytime I hit a cite or quote link, it takes me to the reply box but doesn't quote or cite. If I hit it again, it doubles the quote/citation.
It's also slow. It's like using a slightly better 3Gs. It's fucking worthless.

OP didn't wait for a month before updating
Here's what you do. You restore your old firmware with the backup you (hopefully) made in iTunes, and wait for a month.
When iOS5 is stable, and there is a legit untethered jailbreak for it, you get balls deep in making your pretty little phone a very badass device

I've always updated really late before, so I never realized there could be so many problems. Don't they fucking test this shit? Apple is a terrible company. I have never had problems like this with windows products. Ever.

Yep. Apparently going on all month.

Yeah, it might be fun to check out. The occupy Albuquerque thing seems like all my jobless college grad friends hanging out and getting fucked up on ABQ's main drag. I was planning on checking it out this weekend, but I got hit with an out of town job, so I'm going to spend Friday working in the Navajo Nation, and then spend the weekend in Flagstaff, AZ.
I feel like kind of a dick, but I have tons of work, and I make more per month than friends of mine with degrees, and as sympathetic as I am to their cause, It just doesn't affect me. Should I feel bad?

Nah, don't feel bad. I can't tell if the protests will affect anything through sheer numbers, or will change nothing at all because it's all very ill-organized and generally easy to ignore.

Basically the Egyptian revolution is what sparked this shit that is happening all over the world.

Ah. Could be. Seems a bit doubtful though. Iirc, things got pretty violent at Tahrir Square at times. America's still trying to save face with the world, the military won't be called. And it doesn't look like many, if any, protestors will get violent. No idea about cops.

The cops have gotten quite violent, and have taken much more underhanded measures, such as placing exorbitant (upwards of 1000 USD) fines on protesters.
Yeah you're right. Then there are places like Syria, where the fighting is worse than ever, but the news is pretty much solely focused on who our next republican nominee will be.

Huh. D'you know what any of them were actually fined for?

What completely blows my mind is that the protests and the potential change they could bring about would benefit the police, too.
People are fucking stupid, especially when they have that much (perceived) power.

This is why I kept my iPhone 3Gs and sold my iPhone 4 for $700. It's only slightly faster, and I barely use the camera, so it didn't matter to me about nice pictures. Plus, my 3Gs took decent pictures. I also hacked it so I had FaceTime on it. Basically, I'm a simple person, and my 3Gs did exactly what I wanted. The upgrade to an iPhone 4 was unnecessary for me.

Back when the original iPods just came out, I smashed three of them at school in front of lots of people. Major lulz for me as it pissed off everyone. I miss being rich.

You weren't rich, sounds like your patents were.
Regardless though, that was a waste of money and resources. I also think your story is bullshit.
