"Innocent people", lol. I genuinely laughed out loud. Venezuelans are carbon-based assets that, after dying, will become oil. That oil is ripe for the taking. You're being short-sighted. Think about the returns ExxonMobil and BP will gain from this.

I'm joking and I hope Venezuelans are safe and sound. Fuck their government though. If we can turn them (their government) into oil it's actually a religious obligation for us to do so; read your Bible, it's all in there.

You haven't read the Bible, have you? We actually have a priest on this forum. I'd be happy to direct you to him if you have any questions.

Ah yes, "the Epstein files" that don't actually exist. You mean various court documents across tens of cases related to Epstein, many of which relate to innocent people and victims. But sure, The Epstein Files® are all that matter! Why don't you take it up with Alex Jones?

God also commanded the slaughter of the Amalekites. He also said he's jealous, angry, and hates certain people. But fret not, dear anon: we have a priest on hand to answer such questions.

No, because it's a useless question. Commanding the slaughter of kids is wholly distinct from people dying naturally or in conflict etc. A loving God commanding infants to be dashed against rocks differs somewhat, you'd surely agree.

No, I disagree. If nature was created by God, then there is no distinction between acts of nature and acts of God, it’s all the same thing.

You don't understand how God commanding infants to be violently slaughtered differs from their passively dying in e.g. childbirth or a tsunami or from illness?

So if God came to you and said, murder your mother and shoot up a school, and you knew with a certainty he demanded it, you'd be OK with it and do it "because nature"?

The reason why you didn’t die from cancer as a child is because children who die from cancer before they reach the age of sexual maturity never are able to pass on their genes to the next generation. Children dying is a necessary precondition for your existence as an adult human.

How do you know God never will? Do you claim to know God's will? Did He not demand the massacre of the Amalekites?
Quite arrogant. God wills what He wills. You don't and cannot understand His mind. If God asked you tomorrow to put your mother to the sword, who are you to question Nature's will? Folly, young man.

Then apply that same logic to yourself. If you can’t understand the mind of God, you can’t know for sure if God is ever wrong about anything.

You really can't understand the difference between a child dying of natural causes and God personally commanding their violent murder? You know you're being intellectually dishonest here. It's something even the Pope struggles with. You're not being clever by hand-waving it away; you're revealing the fact you're a dumbass.

So again I ask you: if God did command you to kill your mother, would you? Don't say "he wouldn't" and instead answer the question. I understand it might be hard for you.

It's alright, Anonymous E. We all struggle to understand God. Just keep on praying and ask our resident priest Father Dave for insight if you need. I love you and may your Saturday be bountiful and pleasant!

If the point of being a Christian is to get to heaven, and you believe that God told you not to kill, God told you not to disobey him, and then God told you to kill, then you can’t obey God. So there isn’t a correct answer. Which is the point of asking me the question. Except God never will ask me that question in the first place. So it’s considering something that isn’t real, like considering where two parallel lines intersect is asking me where something that isn’t there is.

God asked the Israelites to slaughter the Amalekites, lol, so there isn't any apparent contradiction. The only contradiction is in your mind because your morality (correctly, I might add) clashes with that of the Biblical authors'.
The US president has claimed at the press conference now under way in Florida that the United States is going to run Venezuela for the time being, although it’s unclear how that would be done.
“We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition,” Trump said. He has given no details.
He just called Maduro a dictator and a drug kingpin.
Maybe if you read a shitty English translation, but if you go back and read the original you will see that the proper translation is that you shall not commit murder.
