The thing I don’t get about this whole conservative opinion that IQ is real and biologically determined is there’s this idea that your genetics cause this magical thing called intelligence and this magical thing called intelligence determines outcomes. Therefore, you can’t do better on an IQ test by doing anything because it’s biologically determined. But has anyone ever taken any test before that they couldn’t have done better on if they took it multiple times? It just seems sort of obvious that a thing called learning exists. But whatever.
Well if that were true then they have to account for parental socioeconomic status, nutrition and perinatal environment as well. if you were born under parents who struggle to make ends meet and live in a shitty neighborhood then chances are you might have a difficult time learning. The only scenario where one could be born with "low IQ" is if a person was born with a severe neurological dysfunction that prohibits any kind of information retention.

so really its just another dumb tool designed to make themselves feel good by claiming they were born intelligent but the reality is they're nothing more than parrots. They repeat whatever snake oil sales pitch they guzzle down because its easier to digest bullshit and propagate it further into more humans than it is to critically(and laterally) think for themselves. My dad would sometimes tell me that "most people only walk and talk because they see others do the same. if it wasnt for that they'd be lost." and everyday that remains to be true.
