Tragic news for Ukraine. One of their most lauded military commanders, Denis Kapustin, has been killed by a Russian drone.
Kapustin, a Russian by birth, became famous in the West for his fight AGAINST Russia. He bravely fought with the Ukrainians in Mariupol, Avdiivka and, most recently, Zaporozhia. From 2022 to 2024 he was frequently interviewed by the likes of Christiane Amonpour and Fareed Zakaria on CNN, who could barely disguise their hero-worship of him.
Denis dies a great, honorary Ukrainian warrior. His legacy will never be forgotten in the West.
Goodnight, sweet prince. And, of course, #slavaukraini 🇺🇦

Shit, sorry, I forgot to include the link to his biography for those who want to read more about him. For reasons of space and time constraints Western media has tended to leave out the more mundane details of his life, focusing instead on what a great hero he is. So I'll post it here for anyone curious.
"Denis Yevgenyevich Kapustin (Russian: Денис Евгеньевич Капустин; 6 March 1984 – 27 December 2025), also known as Denis Nikitin (Денис Никитин) or by his nom-de-guerre White Rex, was a Russian neo-Nazi activist and militant. Kapustin had been banned from the Schengen Area since 2019. After moving to Ukraine, he founded the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) in 2022 and was the group's leader.
The interior ministry of Herbert Reul (CDU) in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, called him "one of the most influential neo-Nazi activists" in Germany, and noted that he professionalized the fighting subculture in the country.[3] He also led a lifestyle brand called White Rex, featuring a Black Sun logo favoured by neo-Nazi groups, through which he distributed T-shirts often with violent, white nationalist, xenophobic imagery and text such as the Nazi symbol 88, which represents the eighth letter of the alphabet, "H", and stands for Heil Hitler, or the 88 Precepts of David Lane.[5] He saw the brand as a kind of Neo-Nazi complete outfitter"

“However, asked about her ethnic background and her alleged Jewish origins by the Spiegel journalists, Kapustin's mother simply described herself as "a Russian woman".

And? Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine remains a farce and march of folly. Russia will win a bunch of farmland, eventually, at the cost of billions in materiel and a million soldiers. Winning! Stalin never would have taken this gamble.

> Ukraine staged the death of a high-ranked Russian fighting on Kyiv’s side to prevent him being killed on Moscow’s orders and lure out those involved in the plot, Ukrainian military intelligence announced on Thursday. The GUR military intelligence unit said the ruse even netted the $500,000 Russian reward for the “killing” of Denis Kapustin – also known as Denis Nikitin – leader of the Russian Volunteer Corps and “Timur Special Unit”, which had announced on Saturday that Kapustin was killed on the frontline.
What, the head of Ukraine's GRU praising a neo-Nazi and saying it's a blessing he's alive? Yep, I read it. Did you also notice how the Guardian ignored the tiny detail of his being one of Europe's most notorious neo-Nazis?
