President Donald Trump unveiled a new “Trump class” of Navy battleships Monday, describing them as a superior war fighting vessel to replace an “old and tired and obsolete” US fleet.
“The US Navy will lead the design of these ships along with me because I’m a very aesthetic person,” Trump said

Now 17 year old Neo Nazis posting "are you ready for total war" videos are finally going to get to experience the joy of naval warfare. I hear it’s like taking an ice bath.

Tell them it’s a TikTok challenge, and they’ll be willing to throw themselves at the enemy like it’s nothing. Gen Z kids will be making the Japanese Kamikaze pilots from WWII look like cowards. They’re already jumping overboard in shark infested waters without a draft. Imagine the possibilities. Together we can fight China!
> US builds like 4 ships a year. There will be maybe 1 prototype of these by 2045.
From ceremonial keel laying to commissioning is typically about 8 years. Many components are ordered before keel laying, and the ships are built using heavy cranes which move assembled sections into place. The last Nimitz class carrier is the USS GEORGE H.W.

Even if the water wasn’t shark infested, if water is cold, you lose the ability to swim pretty quickly, if you’re not near land, there’s nowhere to swim to, and if the current is faster than you can swim, you’re not getting anywhere anyway. With or without the shark it’s obvious he’s dead unless he had a lifeboat or a raft or something. Which he obviously didn’t have so it’s obvious he’s dead. And there was a shark.

Exactly. And in the video he's actively swimming away from the lifebuoy thrown to him, the only thing that could've potentially helped him at all (even if he'd reached it he would still probably be fucked but y'know).
