For real. I hate this miserable fucking state.MARION COUNTY, Fla. —
A Marion County man was arrested, accused of attacking children with a machete.
Investigators said it all started after 56-year-old Michael Huhn asked the children to help him clean up cans in his yard.
The three children said Huhn agreed to give them each a soda after they flattened a pile of beer cans in his Ocala yard.
"He said, 'Hey guys, you want to crush some cans for some soda pops?' We were all for it," said one victim.
When they finished their work and asked for their sodas, they said Huhn started swinging a machete.
One of the victims told WFTV that he stuck his head inside the camper when he asked to see the sodas and Huhn lost it.
“He went back in his camper and came out with a machete,†said another victim. “He was screaming, ‘Get out of here! Get out of here!’ And I said, ‘No. Not until you give us the sodas.’ And he came out at my sister swinging it.â€
Deputies said Huhn slashed a 10-year-old's knee as she ran away. Huhn called the police on the children, but he was arrested.
Parents said they are happy the children were not hurt.
"Anyone who is going to go after kids like that they obviously have a problem," said parent Mellissa Zimmerman.
According to the arrest report, Huhn told detectives a group of children he didn't know picked up sticks and a 2 x 4 and started threatening him and smashed his headlight.
He's charged with felony aggravated battery and child abuse.
