Matthew Hoffman. He grew up and had a fascination with trees. He liked to climb them, and then one day he was arrested for burglary or something and went to jail for a few years. When he got out he landed a job as a tree trimmer. Ideal, right? It was great, and he had a house and everything for some reason. And then one day he began stalking a family who had, like, a 14 year old blonde whitegirl who lived there and when he was robbing the house the mother and a friend (aunt maybe) came home and caught him, so he had to stab them in the neck with a knife to kill them.When the girl and her 7 year old brother came home and found him cutting up the bodies and stuffing them into sacks he stabbed the little boy to death, tied up, and then kidnapped the girl to his basement where he raped her repeatedly. When he was caught (soon after) the girl was alive and rescued by police, and he basically just confessed.
Oh yeah, and the bodies, he had stuffed those into a hollow tree out in the woods somewhere.

He would go off into state parks with tree climbing gear and just climb trees for hours and hours. He did it a lot, it's how he found the big hollowed out tree. He had to climb the tree and throw then from the top down into the trunk.
