Worked IN - No I never worked in area 51. Worked AT would be a better description. Back when I was a young Engineer working at a WORLD CLASS Electronics defense company - HUGHES AIRCRAFT -
Hughes hired one of the founding inventors (there were several) and made him VP and totally in charge of running Hughes Aircraft - I with NO knowledge cept as a teen I did bounce signals off of the moon with Ham radio crud and that was my entry as part of the team to develop Imaging Radar and Synthetic aperture radar. Back then it was 100% Analog with minor digital assist and Today there are two versions Analog and Digital. Analog provides Stuff that is THE VERY BEST IF you're looking from SPACE.

OK So we had unlimited money and I mean UNLIMITED Money and the best engineers money could buy - At that time we had a DC-3 and a Jet which OF I name it causes all kinds of grief so NOT for now.

This radar can provide 3 D images and I mean AMAZING Images and works through rain and clouds and even UNDERGROUND - Takes Photos of People Through Walls and Underground.

Toward the end of my experiments of my own design and with a Team and most were smarter than me - The Gov with a Super Secrete Agency with a Budget 500 times that of the 3 Letter Famous Spy agency had - Anyway someone picked Area 51 as a good place to take a look see from say 10,000 feet in sky and look into the buildings mostly underground and view room by room. By the way this stuff does NOT work if one is over the target - Works best at a far Angle so one fly's far away as one can get and still git a signal to the target. Shocking because in Science one rarely gets that advantage.

So, with images of the kazoo days after days we as a small team went to 51 and compared what we saw from er Space room by room by room. Having NO clue about so called odd er ''Stuff at 51 - All I can say is I viewed ordinary labs and many Like at Hughes Aircraft had odd things like the making of Super HIGH Proof Alcohol like 99.99999% pure and no one at 51 or at Hughes would tell me why such labs existed.

So Nope no Space ships from Radar Images nor in person. Keeping a room stealth from Space view is possible if one were to build a Special Cage and such rooms exist today - Even back then one would build a lab with a Cage inside. Still that cage would show up on he Radar Image as a Box without a view of what is inside. No large protected box's and very few at that.

Frankly the labs looked EXACTLY like Labs at Hughes and very large rooms for Aircraft stuff under development which was also the case at Hughes re the building and development of Helicopters at Hughes.

Visits were few because of need to match objects in Radar Images to actual Stuff

5 of the best years of my life until US Gov decided to add to my education with two years at MIT - Just to take one class per year and Wife and I at all costs on US Gov - Food wine house cars and Wife got to go to other schools for her Art education and I did take very few classes cause I was having fun trying to invent Stuff in my home Lab. Oh the class? Digital stuff I HATED with a Passion - Could not figure out why US Gov wanted me to learn what I hated - Only in the last few weeks did it hit me WHY - A student with no degree YET had come to the attention of US Gov who pushed MIT to have him teach a class in his INVENTION - Not even a patent at that time.

Teacher was Irwin Jacobs - and details on request - Hated that class but had to get an A cause I was getting wallet filled with cash and still paid with US Gov salary not so big and Hughes with BIG salary so grade A just had to be.

Jacobs went on to Invent CDMA and decades later created Qualcomm - I kept saying no way will I work for you re cell phone Stuff to mundane for my tastes which STILL Lean Heavy into Analog and Satellites are MOSTLY Analog with Digital assist.
